Henri Du Toit

Henri Du Toit

Henri was raised in South Africa and has been involved with the sport of polo starting in 1990. He relocated to America in 1992 working as a groom for several professional players including 9 Goaler Hector Galindo. In 1993 he worked with polo instructor and club manager Buzz Welker and continued there for seven years.  in 1998 Henri started his own polo school in New York at the Mashomack Polo Club and was one of the rated umpires for the club.

Rege Ludwig asked Henri to help with training of polo ponies and assist in his polo clinics. In 2007 Rege moved to Thailand to start a new polo club and  asked Henri to run his California operation.

Henri was a professional polo player for nine years reaching a 3 goal handicap while playing across the United States.

Throughout Henri's Career he has coached inter-scholastic polo teams, taught kids polo for the Unites States Polo Association and umpired women's polo in Florida.  Henri is a USPA qualified clinician and has been a professional sports turf superintendent for over 24 years. 

Camp Fraley Ranch & Bend Polo Club are excited and honored to be able bring this caliber of trainer and club developer to Central Oregon!

Polo school classes start May 1st, 2016  and are held every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sundays throughout the summer. Come join us anytime to start your instruction or just to watch this incredible sport.
